Remember our trip to Paris? The poetry? The red awning? The Ray Charles cassette tapes?
I do. I deeply do. It was one of those ‘life moments’ – one that rises to the top of the memories pile. Like when the doctor asks you to go to your happy place to keep you calm while he sticks a needle in your arm. Between riding bikes through Lucca in Italy, waking up in a mountain range in New Zealand, and reading poetry in Paris, I have a few happy places to pull from whenever necessary.
“No sweat doc,” I say as I figuratively stick Ray Charles in the cassette player.
The best part about Paris was that we were a group of four photographers so there were plenty of cameras to go around. And our idea of a fun time was to take a train out to the Palace of Versailles – not to see the palace (pshah) – but to throw each other in front of the camera and take pictures of ourselves. David and Nancy are not only great friends but they are incredible fine art wedding photographers in Chicago and they just posted the photos of us to their blog which makes me want to do two things: (1) jump up and down with sheer GLEE at how amazing these photos are and how they capture us PERFECTLY and (2) post the photos we took of THEM. So keep a keen eye out because soon you’ll see the fabulous duo known as DWP hit the pages of our bloggy-blog in just a bit…
Go check out the blog post and make sure to leave a comment! As you can see from this little sneak peek, the photos are nothing short of epic…
Hugs,
Erin
