Its just not home until we have Gracie snuggled between us. Until the layers of life come peeling off – the shoes and socks, the jewelry and makeup, our laptops and iPhones, our stresses and cares. Until we’ve slipped on our pajamas and crawled under the covers of our bed to feel the warmth of just the three of us. Until our suitcases have been dumped on the floor to be abandoned until morning. Until our eyelids become so heavy that they can’t possibly stay awake any longer.
That’s when we’re finally home. And it’s so good to be home.
Jeff and I had the time of our lives out in New England this past weekend for the Maine wedding of John and Jessica. After such a great weekend with a gorgeous couple, a serene backdrop, two amazing families, and a wedding for the record books, the flights home were filled with smiles and content sighs. And lots of sleeping. Lots and lots of sleeping.
While we get the rest of the images processed, here’s just a little taster of the amazing day that we had…
Hugs,
Erin
